Mr. Daniel John Teixeira, age 79, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at his residence following a sudden medical event. Mr. Teixeira was born August 4, 1946 to the late Manuel Teixeira and the late Maria Netto Teixeira. He made his career as a mobile home escort driver and was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Teixeira is survived by his daughter, Christine Harper of Nicholls, Georgia; 2 grandchildren: Kristin Burkett and husband Brandon of Broxton, Georgia and Jacob Spivey of Georgetown, Georgia; 3 great-grandchildren: Harper, Analeigh, and Lauren Burkett; 2 sisters: Dorothy Cauntinho and husband Joseph of New Bedford, Massachusetts and Mary Paulich-Paglicclo and husband Richard of Rocky Hill, Connecticut; 4 brothers: Fernando Teixeira of Windsor Lock, Connecticut, Ernest Teixeira and wife Katherine of Broad Brook, Connecticut, James Teixeira and wife Linda of North Carolina, Gabe Teixeira of Broadbrook, Connecticut; along with a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Along with his parents, Mr. Teixeira was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Teixeira; a sister, Linda Gomez; and 2 brothers; Junior Teixeira and Arnold Teixeira. A graveside funeral and interment will be held for Mr. Teixeira at Metts Family Cemetery in Alapaha, Georgia on Saturday morning, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Donald R. Fender officiating. The Teixeira family is being served by the kind and compassionate staff of Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. of Douglas, Georgia.
