Daniel Elijah Van Huss, 37, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2024. Daniel was born on June 16, 1987, to Don and Christine Van Huss in Corsicana, TX. On September 28, 2013, he married Brandi Van Huss, including time together prior to marrying, they have spent a loving 17 years together. Daniel has worked for the Kaufman County Sheriff's Department for 15 years, starting as a jailor to recently being promoted to Sergent 2. He enjoyed entertaining people and grilling for his friends and family. Daniel was the life of the party and the last to call it a night. He spent time riding his motorcycle, but his most precious time was spent with his wife and 2 daughters. Daniel loved his family very much and he was a beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother and Uncle. Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Brandi, parents: Don and Christine; children: Everly Van Huss and Alexa Hibdon; siblings: Mary Dunlap and husband Nick, Stephen Van Huss and wife Makayla and their children Gabriel and Ashtyn, Jennifer Tarnovsky, Teresa Ann Wilson, Erica Bohmer, Michael Simpson and Joshua Armstrong; parents-in-law Robert and Joy Long; brother-in-law John Long and wife Kyla and child Liam; extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
