I first met John when I started working at Hibernia in January 1998. I was always in awe of his sports knowledge and especially when it came to the University of Missouri, New Orleans Saints, and the St. Louis Cardinals. His knowledge of baseball was truly amazing. It was evident to all, that he loved his entire family. I always would see a gleam in his eyes when he would talk about any of them. He was a very kind person. I know he will be deeply missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. I don't think he knew how many lives he affected in a positive way. He is a person I will never forget and miss very deeply. I am proud and honored to not only say that I knew him but to also say that he way my friend.
