Daniel Michael Wahl, 52, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at his home in Des Moines.
Daniel (Dan) was born at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines on July 27, 1973. He was the son of Harold Kofford Wahl and May Ann Rasmussen. He went to school in the Metro area and graduated from Hoover High School. He settled into marriage with Charrissa Marie Mangra on June 22, 2017 at their home in Des Moines. He worked as a mechanic for Firestone for 15 years. He started at Bridgestone Ag Tires in Des Moines in 2012 where he worked until his death. He played bass in several bands including Sik Ticket. He attended St. Mary of Nazareth Catholic Church in his youth.
Dan is preceded in death by his sisters Joan Marie Wahl and Madonna Wahl Velez, brother John Wahl, and father Harold Wahl.
Dan is survived by his wife Charrissa, his sons Cooper Morlan, Mohan (Moe) Morlan and Finnigan (Finn) Morlan, his mother, May Ann Rasmussen, his brothers H. James (Jim) Wahl, Thomas (Tom) (Kathy Dice) Wahl, William (Bill) Wahl, Robert (Bob) Wahl, his in-laws, numerous nieces and nephew, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family for medical bills.
Dan's family wishes to extend their sincere thanks those whom assisted him at his life's end.
A Memorial Gathering for Dan will take place from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Iles Dunn's Chapel, 2121 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50312. The family will be present at this time to greet friends.
Cremation will follow the Gathering with interment of his cremains at Glendale Cemetery, 1:00pm, Thursday, August 7, 2025. The family will meet at the gravesite which is in Block #31.
