Daniel Lee Wainscott, 67
Daniel (aka Danny Lee, Double D, 440, and Grandpa) was born on November 14, 1954 to Eugene (D.D) and Scottie Mae Wainscott. He was born in Frankfort, Kentucky. Daniel passed away from a workplace accident on December 8, 2021 at the Ohio State University Hospital.
Daniel married Loretta Hester on August 4, 1984. They celebrated 37 years of marriage. Daniel will be remembered forever by his wife Loretta Wainscott, son Brandon Wainscott of Crestwood, KY and his Daughter Ashley Jenkins, her husband Broc Jenkins and his grandchildren: Lexi,Maya, and Stockton of Utah. He will also be remembered by his older brother, Donnie Wainscott and many cousins who he grew up with.
Danny Lee spent most of his life as an electrician. He owned his business Double D Electric where he met many lifelong friends. Danny spent his life working all over the state of Kentucky doing electrical work. Over the last 12 years Danny started working as an outside contractor for Emergency Disaster Services, also known as E.D.S., located in Lexington, Kentucky. He was always the first one to get on sight when disaster struck. Helping out in hurricanes, floods, power outages, and any other natural disaster, Danny was always there to help others.
Danny was definitely a cheap man as his family and friends would say, but he was never greedy. Danny was always giving those who were in troubled times a job, money, food, a ride, or a warm place to sleep. Danny always took care of his guys. Danny was a devoted man to his family. His family was always taken care of and even if he was a hundred miles away at work, he would still make sure he was there in time for whatever you needed. Danny loved when his grandkids would come visit and always had trinkets for them to sneak into their bag.
Danny's sudden death has saddened us all, but we know that he will forever be watching over us. His many life lessons will stick with us forever and the world won't be the same without him.
We invite you to help celebrate his life on January, 29 2022 at 4:00PM at the Carrick House (address below) in Lexington, Kentucky. Dress will be casual and food will be served.
Carrick House, 312 North Limestone, Lexington KY 40507
