I met Dan when we both played football for Spokane Community College (1968 & 1969 seasons). I'm from Redwood City, CA, so it was difficult and lonely being away from home. Dan always checked in on me and introduced me to people. He was one of the guys that stood out because he had such a good heart. It didn't hurt that Dan could always make me laugh too. I hope Dan finds some great golf courses on the other side.

I only knew Dan a brief time. I met him at Christie/Gil's House a few times- while having a BBQ. He was an outgoing gentleman who had a great sense of humor. I bet he is in a great place with his golf clubs and a BIG screen TV!!!!
Dan took our friend Robbie (in cart with Dan) golfing many times over the past years, despite the difficulty of Robbie's Parkinson's. God Bless Dan.

I will always remember Dan as a true gentleman with a kind heart. He was good company and the perfect guest. He was a great storyteller and always saw the positive in any situation.
Every year some of his college football buddies would get together for a weekend to catchup, go golfing, or just sit around and have some fun. Dan made it to most of these reunions with a smile on his face and a good sense of humor.
He told me several times how much he loved and appreciated his sister Christi and bother-in-law Gilbert for taking such good care of him this last year. They put their busy lives aside and took the time to care. It's good to have family.
We will celebrate his humanness,
We will celebrate his craziness
We will celebrate you Dan.
Much Love,
Doreen Hart

The first friend I made at Kaiser back in '77, a friendship that stood the test of time. Dan was a funny caring guy that would be right there to lend a helping hand no matter what. He loved his family and friends dearly and will be greatly missed! I love you bro!

A great friend, one of the funniest enjoyable guys I ever knew. We were college room mates and football team mates at SCC and EWU. A great athlete who excelled in many sports. I will always remember Dan fondly. aka "Earthquake Wakeley"
