Daniel Eugene Welch, Jr.
October 04, 1952 – August 01, 2025
Daniel Eugene Welch, Jr., also known as Redbone, 72 years old, of Pensacola, FL was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, August 01, 2025.
He was born on Saturday, October 04, 1952, in Panama City, FL to his proud parents, Daniel Eugene Welch, Sr. and Dixie Gates Welch. Daniel grew up with a passion for wildlife, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He attended Woodham High School, where he played basketball, before moving to Montana.
With over 40 years of experience operating cranes and heavy machinery, Daniel developed a strong work ethic. In his retirement, he enjoyed golf, watching sports and westerns, and baking.
Daniel is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Welch; his sister, Donna Jo Welch; and his parents, Daniel Welch, Sr. and Dixie Welch.
He is survived by his children, Dylan (Sara) Stackpole and Danielle Welch; and his grandchildren, Liam Stackpole and Cooper Stackpole. He is also survived by his sister, Jeanne (Ron) Peacock; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the love and support during this difficult time. As Daniel would say, it's not goodbye, but rather 'Later.'
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Trahan Family Funeral Home. The Welch family invites friends and family to join them beginning with a visitation at 11:00 a.m., and the service will follow at 12:00 p.m.
