Mr. Daniel "Danny" Charles Williams, age 77, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at McLeod Loris Hospital. Born on December 20, 1948, in Newport News, VA, he was the son of the late Charles Dorsey Williams and the late Dorothy Lee Cole Williams. After graduating from Campbell College, he dedicated his life to education. He spent 11 years as a math teacher, and 21 years as an administrator, with both Horry County Schools and the Mullins School District before his retirement. During his time at Loris High School, he coached girls' basketball, founded the school's first tennis team, and was the first computer teacher. In his personal life, he was a faithful member of the Gideons International Loris Chapter and a devoted member of Loris First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Phyllis Hardee Williams; children, Dana Williams Smith (Chad), and Bryan Leigh Williams (Michelle); grandchildren, Rebecca Williams, Garrick Williams, and Cole Smith; sisters, Susan Miran (Zaher), and Sylvia Goodman (Stanley); brothers and sisters-in-law; Cheryl Taylor, Carlton Hardee (Brenda), Tara Hardee, Randiss Hardee, and Tammy Wright (Kent), and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was predeceased by his brother-in-law, George Taylor, and sister-in-law, Debra Hardee.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Loris First Baptist Church with Pastor Shane Phillips and Rev. Mike Belue officiating. Committal services will follow at Twin City Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hardwick Funeral Home. The family requests that memorials be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 93, Loris, SC 29569 or Loris First Baptist Church, 3117 Main St., Loris, SC 29569.
