Danielle Flood Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 19, 2025.
Danielle (Danni) C Flood, age 70, of Halifax, MA, and a native of Pembroke, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025, with her devoted son by her side. Danni is survived by her loving and only son, Christopher Parker, affectionately known as "Boy" or "Myson"; her sisters Glenda Clark, Carol Doty, and Donna Smith; her aunt Pauline Scoledge; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Christine Flood, who introduced her to the world of antiques and the flea market circuit; her brothers, John Raymond and Edward Flood; her sisters, Barbara Dern and Joyce Bersani; and her beloved dog, Lilly.

Danni's passion for antiques made her an exceptional curator of timeless treasures. A 1973 graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston, MA, she worked various jobs, including warehouse supervisor at Building 19, and bartended, waitressed, and catered at several local establishments. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to open her own resale store, "New to You," first in Pembroke and later in Hanson, which became her pride and joy. When not scouring yard sales or setting up at flea markets, Danni's love for baseball inspired her to serve as an umpire and league coordinator for softball.

Known for her quick wit and great sense of humor, Danni loved music, singing, reading, word games, cribbage, bingo, and cheering for the Boston Red Sox. She also enjoyed her bi-weekly trips to Foxwoods, where she jokingly claimed to "make a donation." A lover of food, while also being a great cook, she was notorious for cooking everything to a crisp-burnt to the point of no return.

Details for her celebration of life will be announced soon, and while it's unclear if she found a replacement to oversee the food, applications are humorously welcome. Danni's loving and open heart was impossible to ignore and will never be forgotten. She was a remarkable mother, friend, and vibrant soul who touched the lives of many.
