Danielle C. Thompson, 58, of Toms River passed Wednesday May 31, 2023. Born in Perth Amboy, and raised in Edison, Danielle graced several other places in New Jersey, as well as Maryland, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, before moving 3 years ago to Toms River. She loved summers in Normandy Beach and spent all 57 of hers there! Danielle mourned those who passed before her, including her parents, Barbara "Bobbi" Prang & Joseph Chapkowski, and her mother & father-in-law, Lois V. & Joseph H. Thompson. In addition to helping her celebrate life's joys, her amazing community of friends and family supported her in times of loss. May she rest peacefully as she is embraced by loved ones already in heaven. Dani loved children and was passionate about education. After earning her BS in Education from the University of Delaware, "Miss Danielle" created a love of learning in all the children she taught, eventually opening her own preschool, Sweet Dreams, in Toms River. Dani also had a passion for fashion and opened Dani-L Boutique with her mom in May of 1988. This marks the 35th year she would proudly serve her Normandy Beach clients. Danielle took great pride in providing high-quality fashionable clothing that perfectly captured the laid back, beachy vibe of our town, and generously gave back to the community she loved at every opportunity. The annual Dani-L fashion show drew the local community together in support of the First Aid Squad for many years, even virtually during Covid. Danielle's infectious smile and warm personality made her a joy to be around, and she had a way of making everyone feel welcome, included, and special. An adventurous spirit, Dani enjoyed traveling with her family, yet she was most content near the beach or riding her bike along the bay. Danielle was an amazing cook and took great pleasure in sharing meals, baked goods and remarkable chocolates with friends and family. She leaves behind countless fond memories and a legacy that will never be forgotten. It is difficult to include all of the amazing accomplishments Danielle achieved in her lifetime.... but we know she has touched each of you in her own special and tender way..... she cared..... she radiated positivity.... she was a valiant and unwavering fighter to the end... yet, of all her many achievements, she treasured her family most highly. Danielle is survived by her husband of 28 years, Joseph H. Thompson; sons, Joseph B. Thompson and Christopher H. Thompson; "favorite" brother, Gregg Chapkowski & wife Jeannie; "double-trouble to her triple-trouble" sister, Nan Tabak & husband Jim, brother-in-law, Scott Thompson & wife Robin; sister-in-law, Susie Kerridge; Aunt Maryann and Uncle Martin Chapkowsky; her dear nieces and nephews: Curt, Connor & wife Laura, Jacqueline & husband Alex, Jillian & husband Nick, Michael, Alex, Jamie, TJ, Brittany & husband Danny, Matt, and Joe; and the family's beloved chocolate lab, Tye. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, June 12, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Catharine of Siena Church, Seaside Park. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Normandy Beach Yacht Club, Normandy Beach. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to lustgarten.org, or an organization that is dear to your own heart. It is said that a person who departs from this earth never truly leaves but lives forever in our hearts. Danielle will be sadly missed but will remain forever within a dear and special place in all of ours. Rest in peace, Danielle. You will always be remembered and loved. Dani was truly one of the most beautiful human beings I´ve ever known, always rooting for each and every one of us year after year. I had met her the year the store opened, since we lived behind it, and we spent many lovely times since then. She always loved hearing about all of the different animals and their stories from the aquarium where I work. She always was so excited to hear about all of my son Brendan´s milestones and life adventures. My heart and thoughts are with all of her amazing family and friends. She was deeply loved by us all, and will be forever missed. Love you my friend.

Dani I want to thank you for being such a beautiful, caring friend. We met through your shop and could always rely on finding fabulous clothes. The best part of the shopping sprees was talking and laughing with you. You had a way of always embracing everyone that left them with the feeling of a warm hug. I am sorry I cannot make the services but you will always be in my thoughts. I will never forget your kindness and beautiful soul.

Love you.

Danielle was a warm, beautiful and caring woman. Words cannot express how she made one feel. She will be missed so much- but she is at peace-no pain. That is how we must comfort ourself/.
