Danny Robert Alexander, (73), of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on August 26, 2024, with his family by his side.

Son of E.M. “Dude” Alexander and Mary Frances Jones, he was born on August 12, 1951, in Carrizo Springs, Texas. He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1969, where he excelled in many sports such as football and baseball. One of his favorite stories to tell was about the time he hit a homerun over the lights. He then attended Cisco Junior College in Cisco, Texas where he played football. The hardworking attitude he portrayed while playing sports was also present in his business life. Danny started his first company, Alexander Dragline, in 1974. He continued in the crane business with CC Crane in 1980 and Gulf Coast Crane Services in 2006.

Danny was a God-fearing man who loved his family. His true passions were his hobbies. He loved everything from cranes, trains, boats, and automobiles. He would spend his time hunting, fishing, sharpening knives, and supporting his grandkids at all their sporting events.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Letha and John Alexander, grandparents, Claud and Ora Bell McDaniel, mother, Mary Frances Jones, father, E.M. “Dude” Alexander, stepmother, Dorothy “Mawmaw” Alexander, and brother, Rodney Alexander. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Kay Alexander; daughter, Shawna Johnson (Matt); son Bryce Alexander (Jamie); and son Jared “JR” Alexander (Carrie); brothers: Gary Alexander and Kevin Alexander (Theresa); step-sisters: Linda Kotara, Brenda Geffert, Donna Siegel, Pam Grothe, Billie Jo Weaver; nieces and nephews: Matthew Alexander, Michael Alexander, Danielle Alexander, Samantha Maldonado, Sydney Alaniz, Matt Hillin, and Crystal Weber; grandchildren: Madisyn Dale (Dylan), Jaksyn Vaughn, Bella Johnson, Karsyn Alexander, Hailey Johnson, Jared Alexander, Brayden Alexander, Hudson Alexander, Scotlyn Johnson, KC Alexander, and Brody Kennedy; great-grandchild: Stetson Dale.

Danny was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, husband, and friend who will be missed by many. His unique humor and hardworking personality were what made him who he was. His fighting spirit lasted to the end. Danny has made an impact on many peoples’ lives, and he will forever be missed.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Danny Alexander will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024. The public viewing will be from 9:00-10:00 am, and the funeral service will be held at 10:00 am at River Hills Baptist Church. Graveside service will follow immediately at Seaside Cemetery.
