It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Danny Lewis Barber, Age 78, of Newaygo. He passed away on April 27, 2024, after a brief illness. He was born on February 11, 1946, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Danny enjoyed a lifelong career in property management which he spent with Edward Rose & Sons in Kalamazoo, MI for 30 years. Danny and Linda met at Edward Rose & Sons as well. For more than 40 years, he regularly enjoyed fishing and boating on the Muskegon River, he loved being out there. He was also a member of the Croton American Legion Post 381 for 40 years.
Danny is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Linda (Hinken) Barber; brother, Gary (Linda) Barber.
He was preceded in death by father, Kenneth Earl Barber; mother, Lena Mutchler; and sister, Linda Barber.
A private service will take place for Danny, and he will be laid to rest at Croton Cemetery.
Those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy are encouraged to make a Memorial Donation in Danny's memory to Moka, 715 Terrace St., Suite 201, Muskegon, MI, 49440.

We met Dan alongside Linda and her loving brother 5 years ago and are truly saddened by Dan's passing. Dan was a wonderful man with a witty sense of humor and a smile that could brighten any doorway he came through. He will be greatly missed by all and loved that much more.
