Danny Burris Obituary
Danny Ray Burris, 75, of Oakboro, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at his home after a brief illness.
Danny was born July 15, 1949 in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Ezra Enos Burris and the late Willie Faye Burris.
He was also preceded in death by son, Chris Burris; brother, Wayne Burris; and sisters, Phyllis Green and Teresa Almond.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 10:45 am, Monday, March 3, 2025 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Sylvia Burris. Burial will follow at the Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Cemetery at 20415 Hwy. 24/27 West, Oakboro. The family will gather at the home of Mr. Burris following the committal.
Survivors include wife of 51 years, Anita Smith Burris of the home; son, Danny Burris, Jr. of Oakboro, NC; brother, Larry Burris (Sharon) of Conway, SC; and sister, Jane Osteen of Albemarle, NC.
Memorials may be made to charity of the giver's choice.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Burris family.
