Danny Bob Davis, 70, of Gainesville, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, in Gainesville.
Danny was born October 1, 1955, and was raised in Leonard, Texas. Growing up, he was active in FFA and enjoyed the close-knit community that helped shape the hardworking and friendly man so many people came to know. After graduating from Leonard High School, he attended East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree.
On December 14, 1983, Danny married the love of his life, Bonnie Brewer. Together they built a life in Gainesville filled with family, friends, and many shared memories over the next 42 years. Danny worked at the Case dealership in Gainesville for nearly 20 years before later going to work for Peterbilt in Denton, where he remained until his retirement.
Danny enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved spending time outdoors camping and fishing, and he especially enjoyed working on tractors. Danny never met a stranger and had a way of striking up a conversation with just about anyone. More than anything, he valued time spent with his family and the many friendships he made throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Bonnie Davis of Gainesville; his daughter, Pam Tedder and husband Robbie of Midlothian, Texas; sister-in-law Ruby Compton and husband Jeff of Rowlett, Texas; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, John Harold Davis and Wenona Marie Davis.
A graveside service will be held Monday, March 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the pavilion of Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville.
