Danny Joe Dickerson

Danny Joe Dickerson passed on to life eternal on Resurrection Sunday, April 20, 2025, a fitting day for a man of faith who loved the Lord.
Danny is remembered for his care and concern for all who knew him, his humility and generosity of spirit, and his enduring Christian faith.
He was born in Temple, Texas, on November 15, 1955. He is preceded in death by his father, Elbert Franklin Dickerson, and his mother, Frances Mabel Pavlasek Dickerson of Temple. He is survived by his wife, Marylin Lynette of Temple; his son, Matthew Dickerson, wife Beth, and grandsons Daniel and Caleb of Haslet, Texas; his daughter, Jesse Dickerson, wife Amy Beene, and granddaughter Raven of Teague, Texas; his sister, Barbara Franklin, and her husband Kenny Franklin of Stampede, Texas; his nephew, Kinney Barcuch, and his wife Lori of Corsicana, Texas; his stepdaughter Lori Fast, husband Mike, and grandchildren Oliver, Zachary, Amelie, and Analise of Kingwood, Texas; and his stepson Leonard, wife Shar, and grandchildren Kaylyn, Christian, Joslyn, and Austin of Frisco, Texas.
He retired from the City of Temple Housing Authority. He was fascinated with trains from a very early age and owned a very large model train collection. He was a master craftsman. His talents included furniture, crosses, and making scale models of loved one's homes, farms and businesses. He also made a display for the Santa Fe Railroad Museum.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, with visitation from 9:30 to 10:45 with the funeral at Temple Bible Church at 11:00, and concluding with interment at Greathouse Cemetery, 2343 East FM 93, Temple. Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple has been entrusted with all arrangements.
Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Franklin, Kinney Barcuch, and Derwood Wilkerson.
