Danny Lee Edwards returned home to his Heavenly Father and family members on April 22nd, 2025. Dan (also known as Grandpa Sugar) was the second child of Trent Edwards and Nelly May Mote and was born in Clovis, California. Dan was baptised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on October 3, 1953 just before turning 10 years old and had a firm testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ all of his life. Dan married Linda LaRae Parsons December 4th, 1963 and together they had eight children. They later divorced and Dan married Pamela Ormand Endicott September 15th 1990 and was later sealed in the Oakland temple on April 25th, 1993. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Leon and Barry. He is survived by his wife Pamela Ormand Endicott Edwards, his ex-wife Linda LaRae Parsons (Willams), sister Mary, and children Todd (Sherry), Matt (Carolyn), Scott (Julie), Lance (Brandy), Jacob, Amy (William), Jason (Yaela), Sheree, Sidney (Gary) and Lesly (Tod), 46 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.
Dan loved children and family reunions. The Edwards were a big clan and had many reunions in Burris Park near Hanford California. He loved the beach and loved to fish. Danny served as a member of the Army reserves and was activated for 12 days during the Cuban missile crisis in 1962. He became a skilled journeyman carpenter and was a superintendent on many jobs. In his later years he worked for Usana as a maintenance director. He believed that every boy should learn a trade and work hard.
