FORT MILL, SC – Mr. Donald "Danny" Lee Gunn, age 73, passed away, Thursday, January 30, 2025 at White Oak Manor-Lancaster. He was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, a son of the late Donald Gunn, Jr. and the late Jewell Laverne Calhoun Gunn and was the loving husband of the late Glenda Ann Mathis Gunn. Danny graduated from Empire High School in 1969 where he played basketball. Later, he married the love of his life, Glenda in Duncan, Oklahoma on August 24, 1974 and birthed their son, Donald "Don" Gunn on October 22, 1982. He grew up on the farm and loved being on the farmland during his younger years. Danny cherished his family and was able to visit Scotland with his work, Halliburton, many years ago and visit where his great-grandparents were from. He enjoyed watching the Oklahoma Sooner football games, working with computers, racing slot cars with his son, and coaching soccer. In most recent years, Danny's heart became complete when his grandson, Carter was born. Carter was the absolute joy of his life, and he cherished every moment and every memory with him.
Danny is survived by his son, Donald "Don" Gunn, and his wife, Tiffany; his grandson, the joy of his life, Carter Gunn; his sister, Julie White, and her husband, Jerry; nieces and nephews, Beverly McAllister, Billy Don Shipman, Rusty Gunn (Megan), Brandy Richardson (Cody), Taylor White (Diego), and Tyler White.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Gunn who passed away on April 25, 1985; his parents, Donald and Jewell Gunn; his sister, Donna Shipman; and his brother, Tommy Gunn.
