Danny "Bug" Roger Hite, age 66, of Gray, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11th, 2024. Born on August 15th, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky, Danny was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Danny was a proud graduate of Durrett High School in Louisville, KY, Class of 1976. He was also a devoted member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Louisville. Danny had an immense passion for sports, especially the Kentucky Wildcats, and was known as a walking sports encyclopedia. He loved playing and watching various sports and could often be found laughing at episodes of Andy Griffith as well as at his younger brother. Danny will be remembered as a loyal son, a dedicated brother, and the Kentucky Wildcats' number one fan. His kindness, generosity, and loving nature touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Danny is survived by his siblings: Deanna (David) Allen, Donna "Frog" (Danny "Bugless") Sheffield, and Bryan (Dianne) Hite; his nieces and nephews: Mickey (Kathleen) Himmelheber, Harley (Emily) Hite, Anna Kristina "Krissy Girl" (Autumn) Himmelheber, and Angel (Greg) Griffith; and his great-nieces and nephews: Farrah, Keegan, Raegen, Melody, Bentley, and Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Roger Hite and Anna Francis Smith Hite, and his grandparents, Leonard "Pop" Hite, and Inez Hite.
