Benson, NC: Mr. Danny Leon Jobe, age 66, of NC Hwy 50 North passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by his loving family. Memorial Services will be 1:00PM- Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Glen Brock.
Danny was born on July 5, 1956 in Wake County to the late Frank Leon and Barbara Bowden Jobe. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Viola Champion. Danny graduated high school in 1974 from Wake Forest High School while working for family friends at the Rolesville Market. Danny married the love of his life and high school sweet heart, Cindy in 1975. Danny retired from the Department of Corrections with the State of North Carolina. He enjoyed fishing, water skiing, and had a love for horses that he passed down to his family. Danny’s grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Cindy C. Jobe; daughter, Amanda Michele Jobe of Benson; grandchildren, Hayden Michele (Chase Tylecki), Camden Bailey Parker, Adalyn Grace Parker; great-granddaughter, Zoey Michele Tylecki; brother, Frankie Jobe and wife, Betsy of Youngsville; niece, Tara White and husband, Christian, nephew, Taylor Jobe and wife, Ericka; a great-niece and several great-nephews; special family friends, Tim Edwards and Amy Joyner Bowling.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Baptist Tabernacle Church, 1599 NC 231, Wendell, NC 27591 or Capital City Church of God, 1500 Hedingham Blvd., Raleigh, NC 27604.
