Danny L. Knotts

Danny Lee Knotts of Burlington, IA. Born to Larry K. & Judith A. (Nesetril) Knotts on June 29th, 1960 in Burl. IA. passed away in his home on February 10th, 2026.

In 1985 he married Judi Dugan, where he gained a bonus daughter; they then had three children together. They later divorced.

Danny attended Burlington Community High School and later joined the Marines. He worked in Construction the majority of his life. Danny loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Danny also had a deep love for his dog Gizmo, and looked forward to the time he got to spend with him. Danny was an avid Bears fan and loved watching football. He also enjoyed fishing, listening to AC/DC and sitting around shooting the bull.

Survivors include, two brothers- Randy Knotts of Galesburg Il. And Larry Knotts Jr of Burlington, IA, one sister - Kandy (Jason) Sharp of Burlington, IA. Three children - bonus daughter, Joy (Travis) Hainline-Custer of Galesburg, Il., son- Steven W. Knotts of Galesburg, Il. and daughter- Jennifer (Spence) Slaymaker of Coweta, OK., Six granddaughters, three grandsons and one great granddaughter, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, infant son Damien Knotts, infant daughter Crystal Knotts, sister Darla Clabaugh of Texas and cousin Steven L Knotts.

The Celebration of Life for Danny will be held Saturday, February 28th, 2026, from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Doris' Tavern in Burlington IA.
