Danny Albert Phillips, age 62 of Henderson, Nevada died peacefully in his sleep at home by his dog on Sunday June 22, 2025.
Born June 30, 1962 in Lorain, Ohio he was the son of Philip and Judy Phillips. Danny graduated from Admiral King High School in 1980.
He was a highly skilled body man and fabricator for Firetrucks Unlimited from 2016-2024. Prior to that, he had a CDL license and drove tanker trucks for several years, recovery trucks and drove for Republic Services. In his early years in Ohio, he worked at U.S. Steel as a boiler operator and received his Engineering and HVAC license at the Cleveland Institute of Technology. Danny enjoyed fixing up classic cars, a skill he learned from his father. He loved going to car shows, watching Nascar and going to car races. He was a dog lover and rescued 2 golden retrievers. He enjoyed the outdoors and watching the ships sail on Lake Erie. His dream was to retire in Ohio by Lake Erie and be with his family.
Danny was preceded in death by his mother Judy Phillips. Survivors include his children Jason Phillips (Krista) and Rebecca Rhodes, his brother Timmy Phillips (Connie), his father Philip Phillips, and his significant other Jennifer Leepard, MD. He had 8 grandchildren.
Memorial services for Family and Friends will be held at Davis Funeral Home at 6200 S. Eastern Ave Las Vegas NV 89119 on Saturday July 12 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held afterwards at Firetrucks Unlimited at 1175 Center Point Dr. Henderson, NV 89074 from 5:30 pm on.
Memorials may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) for finding the cure for multiple myeloma.
