Danny Floyd Pollock, 80, of Grandview, TX, passed away doing what he loved, working cattle, on December 20, 2024. Born in Cleburne, TX, on July 23, 1944, Danny left a lasting legacy on the county he grew up in.
He was the owner of Pollock Construction where he contracted work to TU Electric and later to Bowman Environmental. An avid fisherman in his younger years, he was a founding member of the Cleburne Bass Club.
Danny was dedicated to serving others, he was a JCLAA Board Member for over 25 years, and a long-time supporter of the Grandview Ag Booster Club. In retirement, he ran a catering business where he donated his time to cater at various Ag Youth groups throughout Johnson County.
Danny often attended many bull shows with Wes Marti, where one of his proudest moments was when he assisted him and showed the Champion Bull, a Marti Charolais, at the Houston Bull Sale. This moment with Wes and Marti Charolais had a lasting impact on Danny and was the icing on the cake of his many years dedicated to livestock showing. His many dedicated years were one of his greatest joys, helping not only his kids, but his grandkids show livestock at JCLAA from 1982 to 2024 with only a 3-year gap between kids and grandkids.
Danny is survived by his: wife, Diane Pollock, brother, Ronnie R. Pollock and wife Susy, children, Cari Pennigton and husband Rick, Brian Pollock and wife Glenna, Kristi Meehan and husband James, Jason Cromeans and wife Angela, eight grandchildren and their significant others, five great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents; William “Bill” Floyd Pollock and Waulena Mae Watson Pollock. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew and loved him.
