Graveside services for James Fredrick "Fred" Watson, Sr., 78, of Grandview, Texas will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Greenacres Memorial Park with the Reverend Charles E. Payne and Chaplain Eddie Carrell officiating.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Fred Watson passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 in Fort Worth. He was born September 27, 1947 in Cleburne to Phillip and Willie Bell (Flippin) Watson.
Fred married Janice Hays on September 26, 1975 and after her death married Valerie Glenn on October 2, 2002. He worked as a pressman for the Cleburne Times Review newspaper and was of the Baptist faith. Fred loved fishing, skeet shooting, and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Valerie Glenn and Janice Hays; son, James Watson, Jr.; brother, Billy Watson; and sisters, Elaine Reston and Phyllis Nichols.
Survivors include his daughter, Crystal Tidwell and husband Randy of Hubbard; stepsons, Shawn Farar, Jasen Stevenson and Joseph Stevenson and their families; numerous grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
