Danny "Pops" Pompa went to be with the Lord on September 2nd, 2024, after one of the best rides on earth you can imagine.
Born in San Antonio on October 15th, 1958, Danny ultimately ended up in California before finally settling his roots in Dallas, TX. Pops was one of a kind and that's putting it lightly. Known for his infamous sayings, he ALWAYS lit up the room with his unique personality, charismatic character, and being the ultimate comic that made everyone around him laugh.
He loved animals, his family, having fun, and his ultimate passion which was riding his Harley Davidson. He's now riding with the angels, but we will surely miss him incredibly much and that's putting it extremely lightly.
He is survived by his wife Cindy, his sons Cody and Danny, brothers Russell Alan and Johnny, sister-in-law Gayle and Lynn, sister Synthia, grandchildren Rylie, Dillion, Cameron, Madison, Dayton, Destiny, Cayden, Aubrey, stepdaughters Melissa and Alicia, nephew Jared and Russ, and niece Venessa.
He lived life on his terms and was quick to let you know that. Everyone loved Danny and he was always one to show his love and respect right back. The lord will have his hands full with Pops, but we rejoice in our faith that he is up there having a great time with his father Russell "Hawk" Pompa, his mother Marilin, and his sisters Sandra and Patty Ann.
Pops, we already miss you so much and believe you left us too soon; however, we know that Gods plan ultimately overrides our plans on Earth. We pray that he continues to look after all of us here until we meet again.
One more for a good laugh:
"How do you get your hair like that pops?"
"I mix a little Rogaine with Viagra. It stands up really good, I just can't get it to lay down."
Rest easy, Pops. We all love and miss you so much!
