Danny Ray "Daddy-O" Roska I age 78 passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Danny was born November 23, 1946, to John Roska Jr. and Maude Katherine Lookebill Roska. After graduating from Southport Highschool in Indianapolis, Danny enlisted in the U. S. Army. He honorably served his country including two tours of duty in Vietnam. Danny is featured in the book "Honoring Vietnam Vets" by Linda L. Minton.
After leaving the military and returning to Indianapolis he decided to move to Florida. There he joined Nick Renzi Construction Co. It was there that he was given the nickname "Daddy-O" which he enjoyed being called by friends and family alike. The company relocated to Huston, Texas for a few years. After their jobs in Huston were completed, the company returned to Florida where Danny lived until his retirement. He then moved back to Indianapolis where most of his family were located.
In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by his brothers, James Fredrick Roska (Alice) and John Earl Roska. Danny is survived by his children, Danny Ray Roska II, Joellen Gindling, Ronnie Dale Roska, and Danielle Reese Roska; grandchildren, Randall Gindling, Alyssa Gindling, Ronnie Roska Jr., Kyle Roska, Devin Reagin, Domanick Reagin, and Tyler Reagin; brother, Mark Edward Roska (Debbie); sister in law, Alice Roska; nephew, Brian Roska; nieces, Tennille Roska and Natalie Arzate, and several great nieces and nephews.
Services for Danny are Friday, March 14 at 1:00 PM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Franklin Township Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at New Crown Cemetery with military honors following the service.
