Danny "Dan" Walton, 76, of Greeneville passed away peacefully, July 17, surrounded by the people he loved and those who loved him.
Dan was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, a Master Scuba Diver, who was involved in instruction, and rescue/recovery. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee where he was on the fencing team, part of the Pride of the Southland Band, where his love for Tennessee football flourished. Dan enjoyed serving the Greeneville High School Band, while assisting with the color guard. He loved to travel and learn about the history of the places he visited.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents Orville and Bonnie Walton, of Greeneville, his wife of 53 years, Brenda Gail Walton, of Greeneville and a special aunt Delores Hammitt, of Johnson City.
He is survived by his daughter Wyndi Patterson and her significant other Tim Hutto, His grandson Drew, wife Lexy, and great grandson Pierce Patterson. His Significant other, who was always by his side, Janet Cox, of Greeneville, Special friends and family Bridget (Jason) Bailey, Brandy (Mikki) Malone, Kaylee, Kenzie, and Kortnei, and life long friend Mike Roberts.

Danny and I were co-workers at Alltrista/Jarden Zinc for several years in the Sales Department. He was always very kind and helpful. He had a great personality. He and Brenda were dear friends of mine. I am truly sorry for your loss.
