Danny Gene Woodcox of Campbellsville, formerly of Jamestown, the son of the late William and Dora (Andrew) Woodcox, was born December 18, 1942, in Jefferson County, KY, and departed this life on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at his home. He was 82 years of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Meadowview Baptist Church.

He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Merrimac Masonic Lodge. Where he served as a master and secretary.

He was a former timberman and sawmill owner.

Danny enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling on bus tours, and was a master welder.

Survivors include his wife, Mary (West) Woodcox, whom he married on June 8, 1963; a daughter, Teresa Garrett and husband Jeff; a son, Tim Woodcox and wife Janet, all of Campbellsville.

Also a sister-in-law: Nina Murray; six grandchildren: Brandon Tucker and Hannah, Cole Tucker and Jordan, Ashleigh Pruyear and Cameron, Allison Lawson and Beth, Andrea Thompson and Daniel, and Drew Woodcox; his great-grandchildren: Jayson, Jameson, Jackson, Joshua, Grayson, and Kannon, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Danny Gene Woodcox will be Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.

Interment in the Jamestown City Cemetery

Bro. Brent Gupton will be officiating.

Visitation will be on Sunday after 10:00 A.M. EST until the time for the service.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of choice and can be at the funeral home.
