Daphne Leeds, 78, of Tunkhannock passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Embassy of Tunkhannock. She is survived by her husband of more than 30 years, Bryan Leeds.
Born on August 11, 1947, in Scranton, she is the daughter of the late Porter and Frances (Butler) Price.
A proud graduate of Pocono Mountain High School, Daphne furthered her academic journey at Lakeland College in Florida. Her thirst for knowledge led her to embrace international experiences, culminating in a year spent in Spain where she obtained her Master's Degree.
Daphne began her career as a teacher, inspiring her students with her engaging and thoughtful approach. Eventually, she returned to school and transitioned into psychology. She proudly concluded her professional journey at the Clarks Summit State Hospital, dedicating her expertise and compassion to the field until she turned 65.
In her free time, she found pleasure in solving crossword puzzles and immersed herself in the pages of the books she cherished. She also expressed herself through watercolor painting. Her love for nature flourished in her wildflower garden, where she took great joy in nurturing its beauty.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sister, Penny Price; cousin, Moira Green.
Family and friends are invited to attend Daphne's Celebration of Life which will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM from the Marcho, Sheldon, and Kukuchka Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Interment will be held in Oakland Cemetery, Mountainhome, PA.
