Daphne Clark "Duck" Minor

Daphne "Duck" Clark Minor, 52, of Oakford, passed away peacefully at 6:55 a.m. on Sunday, December 14,2025 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on March 1, 1973 in Springfield, Illinois to George Clark and Linda Duncheon.

Daphne is survived by her mother, Linda Duncheon of Oakford; sisters, Robin Clark and Stacy Clark of Oakford; brother, Clint (Deanna) Clark of Athens; step-sisters, Robin (Curt) Friedman and Becky (Dan) Fehr of Fairbury, Illinois; and father, George (Rita) Clark of Fairbury, Illinois. Also surviving are her nieces who she adored, Courtney Clark, McKenna Clark, McKayla Clark, Marcie Dyer, and Whitney Zehr and great-nephews with whom she spent most of her free time, Amari Clark (age 2), James Williams (age 10), and Oliver Williams (age 5). She was preceded in death by her dad, Jim Duncheon (Papa) and grandparents, Russell and Beverly Armstrong.

Daphne spent the majority of her life working at Sunny Acres Nursing Home as an LPN, where she cared for and cherished her residents and their families. She not only impacted her residents' lives, but the lives of their families as well. She was the best nurse anyone could ask for because she put her entire heart into every single one of her resident's care. She will be deeply missed.

Daphne was very close with her sister Robin, niece Courtney, and mom Linda. Daphne was the type of person who would bend over backwards for the next person, give the shirt off of her back to ensure that they were taken care of. Her absence will undoubtedly be noticed by all of her friends and family.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakford Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the burial at the Oakford Hall.
