Daphne Williams , 77, passed away March 12, 2025 in Layton, Utah. She was born in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica on August 17, 1947 to Norman Williams and Bernicy Britton. She attended school at the Port Antonio Primary School and Boundbrock Secondary School.

Daphne has always been a quiet, kind and generous person with a loving aura. She loved her long time friends; Mrs. Stamp and Tiny.

Daphne loved to make visitors feel welcome at her work as a housekeeper and treated them with the highest level of service. She also loved to crochet and would make various items to give to her grandkids and children. Daphne received numerous awards such as Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year due to her outstanding service.

Daphne loved to cook curry chicken and rice with red beans, her Christmas traditional fruit cake, and traditional drink (sorrel) were all delicious and loved by her family. She was someone who loved to laugh, would give you the shirt off her back, and ensure that you were fed properly. Daphne was always thankful for the opportunity to get to know you. She will be missed by many but her impact will stand a lifetime.

Daphne is survived by; Carolyn (daughter), Orlando (son), Latrell(grandson), Shadell(grandson), Ayana(granddaughter), Ella(granddaughter), Vincent(son-in-law), Tyrone(uncle), Septi(uncle), Yvonne(aunt), Amy(aunt), Sarah(sister), Patsy(sister), Alice(sister), and many more nieces/nephews.

She is preceded in death by; Grace(sister), Papsy(uncle), Lenora(sister), Sylvia(sister) Bernicy(mother), Vasti(grandmother).

Daphne will greatly be missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday March 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Family and friends may visit Thursday March 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary prior to the service.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
