Darcy Soifer Obituary
Darcy Soifer passed away November 15, 2023. She leaves behind her husband of forty-seven years, Doug; her son, Benjamin and his wife, Susan, and their children, Paige and Dillon; her son, Matthew and his partner, Holly; and her two sisters and their husbands, Jill and Ronnie Trulson and Ellen and Keith Barger.
Darcy loved her family with all her heart. She spent the majority of her life so happy; laughing, smiling her big wide smile, and enjoying and caring for her family, especially her sons and grandchildren, and her myriad of pets.
Darcy was born and raised on the family farm in North Dakota. She went to college and became a Registered Nurse.
She met her husband, Doug, when he was stationed at the Air Force Base in Minot. She adored being a military wife and was involved in every volunteer organization, countless activities and made so many friends. She raised her sons, Ben and Matt, on bases in all four corners of the country, each time adapting to new homes and helping the family feel at home again. She brought along all the animals, too, at one time; almost twenty pets! She always brought a little bit of farm life wherever she landed.
Eventually, Fort Walton Beach was the permanent family home and Darcy loved life in Florida. She made so many friends that became like family.
When Ben and Susan got married, she made the most beautiful celebration for them. Later, when they had Paige and Dillon, Darcy felt her two grandchildren were the greatest gift ever. When Matt found Holly, she felt the family was complete.
Darcy loved trekking across the country in the mobile trailer to visit all the kids in Denver. Nothing was more important to Darcy than family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
