Darian A. Caplinger

Darian Arthur Caplinger, age 52, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on October 29, 2025, at his home in Springfield, Missouri. Darian was born to William "Bill" and Jeanette (Bell) Caplinger, Sr. on August 11, 1973, in Lincoln, Illinois. Darian was united in marriage to Carolyn Homeister on April 16, 1993, at Drury Chapel in Springfield, Missouri. He proudly served his community as a Volunteer Firefighter and Police Officer for many years. He retired as a Deputy Sheriff for Christian County in April 2012.
Darian was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law Hazel Homeister; two grandsons Lucas and Eathan Caplinger and a nephew Kodi Caplinger.
He is survived by wife, Carolyn Caplinger; sons Jonathan (Nikki) Caplinger and Caleb Caplinger; grandchildren: Darian, Shadow, Connor and Joshua Caplinger, Lilly Caplinger and Emmalynn, Gemma, Valery and Lillian Knight; brothers Kevin Durham, Bill (Chandra) Caplinger Jr., Kris (Cara) Caplinger; sister Jeanelle (Mike) Bloomquist; brother Doug (Anita) Caplinger; his father-in-law and mother-in-law David and Penny Homeister, sisters-in-law Cindy (Tyler) Walker and Vicki (Bruce) Neuroth. Nieces and nephews Tanner and Cameron Caplinger, Taiylor and Austin Caplinger, Cathy Rippe, Austin Davis and Daniel Neuroth.
There will be a Celebration of Darian's life at a later date.
