Darius Solomon Perry

Darius Solomon Perry, 85, of Farnham passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 22, 2025. Darius was born in Greenbriar County, WV to the late Dennis D. Perry and the late Ruth Retta Osborne Perry. Darius was the loving husband of 43 years of Kay Meade Perry. He retired from the Safeway Supermarket in Fairfax as manager of the meat department.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Darius loved being outdoors. He and Kay were thrilled to make their permanent home in the Northern Neck after retirement, where he could live close to nature and put his skills as a butcher to very good use each hunting season. He was a skilled woodworker. Darius loved his family, drinking beer with his pals, and going home to West Virginia to visit family and hunt in the mountains. He was a member of the Callao Moose Lodge and cherishes the friendships and sense of community that he found there.

Left to cherish Darius' memory are his wife, Kay; his children: Debbi Clay (Joey), Cathy Honaker, Sandra Fisher (Eddie) and stepson Donnie Paul Dotson (Debbie); his grandchildren: John, Josh, Amanda, Cody, Carley, Kerah, Carmen, and step-grandson Donnie Paul II; and one beloved great-grandson, Clayton; his friend and the mother of his children, Evelyn Thomas; his brother Tom (Linda) and his sister Judy.

Darius was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Ruth.

A celebration of Darius' life will held at a later date. In lieu of flowers his family asks that you honor his generous nature by making a donation to the charity of your choice in his loving memory.
