Darla Castro was one of nine children to Julia Del Socorro Valle Romero (deceased) and Donald Wood (deceased). Darla was born on October 13,1951, in La Ceiba, Honduras. She was a single mother who worked hard and took pride in being able to provide for her three children, Marcio Chiessa (deceased), Edwin Chiessa, and Darla Chiessa. While living in San Pedro Sula, Honduras she met and married the love of her life Eberto Castro who she then followed to the United States. Their Love story grew and blossomed for over forty-three years, and during their marriage had their three children Donald H. Castro, Kenya P. Williams, and Joseanny P. Castro Vieyra. Together and with a lot of sacrifice Darla and Eberto worked hard to unite her children and give them all the opportunity for a better life. They never hesitated to help anyone in need and did so not only with a loving and gracious heart, but with faith and trust in God. Darla Castro was a woman full of fun, laughter, good times but most importantly love. She loved with passion, and forgiveness. She was a strong woman full of dreams who dedicated her whole life to raising her children and giving them the best education and opportunity she knew how. She did this not only with God by her side but with love and honor. She was proud of her children but being a grandmother was her proudest accomplishment. She would always say "Mis nietos son mi adoracion". She lived for their smiles, hugs, kisses and loved nothing more than to make memories with them. They were her joy and happiness. Darla Castro's faith and her belief in Our Lord and Savior was unwavering and never shaken. Her trust and faith in God gives us comfort to know that she is in heaven resting alongside the love of her life and rejoicing in God's Kingdom. She's smiling down at all of us and saying "No lloren, por fin estoy descansando y estoy con tu papa, disfruten la vida y algun dia nuestro dios nos unira a todos". We love you mami, descanse en paz.
