Darla Collier Obituary
Darla was born on June 25, 1949 in Mason County, KY to the late Alex Hamilton and the late Ruby Pitts Hamilton. She was a homemaker and worked for Jockey for 25 years, but made a career of caregiving, having cared for many people throughout her lifetime. Arranging flower beds were a joy of hers, as well as spending time with family and attending church.
Survivors include her loving husband, Steve Ray Collier; sons, Steve Collier, Jr., Chris Collier, Daniel "Shane" (Julie) Collier; daughter, Tearsa (Sikia) Miller; brothers, Tommy Hamilton, Stoney (Rhonda) Hamilton, Alex (Brenda) Hamilton, Timothy (Gail) Hamilton, Anthony Hamilton and Dusty (Kristen) Hamilton; sisters, Thelma Jones, Doris Poe, Nola (Bradley) Redmond, Mellisa (Chuck) Grimm and Tina (Rodney) Powell; 9 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Darla is preceded in death by her brother, Mark Hamilton and sister Letha Nyoka Gallagher.
Services for Darla Jean Collier will be at 2 p.m. on Friday August 23, 2024 at Brell & Son Funeral Home with Pastor John Ray Dodson officiating. Burial will follow at Wedonia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
