Darla Sue Griffin, 79, of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Sue was born on December 8, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas. She was the daughter of John “Jeff” David Bunnell and Stella Llanona Flint Bunnell. She married Berton Dale Griffin in 1964 who preceded her in death in 2009 and then met and married her current husband, Bobby Willis. Sue had worked for the Citation Company in Siloam Springs, had helped her husband Berton in his business as a bookkeeper and driving a dump truck at times and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, woodworking and was always very crafty and handy doing any project around the house and yard.
She is survived by two daughters, Darla Beaty and husband Lance of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Marla Happy and husband Paul of Siloam Springs; one brother, David Bunnell of Siloam Springs; two grandchildren, Jon Happy and Briana Happy; two great grandchildren, Stella Ferguson and Lincoln Horne; along with many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Berton; and one sister Betty Ann Selph.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 2:00pm at Oak Hill in Siloam Springs. Pastor Logan Shelley will officiate the service.
Arrangements are entrusted to Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, AR.
