Darlene Allen Obituary
Mrs. Karen Darlene Snapp Allen, age 66 of 204 Henderson Dr., Gaffney, widow of Roy Allen, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Upstate Community Hospice Home in Landrum.
Mrs. Allen was born in Spartanburg, September 18, 1957, a daughter of the late Robert and Nancy Cody Snapp. She was a graduate of Pacolet High School and Spartanburg Technical College. She was the owner of Jewelry 4 Fun in Union and had previously worked for Milliken and Co. Mrs. Allen was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church in Pacolet.
Surviving are her fiancé Ricky Burrell of the home; a daughter, Heather Fulgham and husband Jerry of Pacolet; a son, John Snapp and wife Tammy of Lyman; three brothers, Robert Snapp, Jr. and wife Renee of Union, Ryan Snapp and wife Renee, and Richie Snapp and wife Deborah all of Pacolet. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jeremy Fulgham and wife Presley, K'Leigh Burgess and husband Billy, Chase Vickers, Kinsleigh Kirby and husband Josh, Kaden Fulgham, Hailey Fulgham, Brandon Brown and wife Kristen, Sara Henderson and husband Ethan, Kirk Snapp Liz Snapp and Ciarra Burrell; and eight great grandchildren.
The family wishes to say a special Thank You to Agape Hospice and Dr. Philippe Zomor with Atrium Health, for the care of Mrs. Allen during her illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 28, 2024, at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel, 145 Hames Ave., Jonesville. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday at the chapel prior to the services.
A private burial will be held at Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Eric Burrell, Shannon Burrell, Billy Burgess, Josh Kirby, Kaden Fulgham and Tyler Snapp.
Memorials may be made to Agape Hospice, 260 Fairwinds Dr., Landrum, SC 29356.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, Heather and Jerry Fulgham, 155 Ma's Rd., Pacolet, SC 29372.
