Darlene M (Shane) Jellison, 78, of Mishawaka passed away on Monday June 16, 2025, at her home.
Darlene was born on May 28, 1947, in South Bend to the late Jason and Alice (Hutsebout) Shane.
Darlene married Timothy Jellison in July of 1996, sharing 29 years of marriage.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Tim, her daughters; Jennifer (Johnny O'Hara) Robertson and Julie (Todd) Gierlowski, stepson; Casey (Tina) Jellison, grandchildren; Justin, Jaime, Leland, Laden, and Layah, and great-grandchildren; Jaelynn and Crew. Also surviving are her siblings; Shirley (Mike) Bilinksi, Sandra Revell, and Robert (Patti Stover) Shane.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents.
Darlene was a lifelong resident of Mishawaka, she also graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1965. She loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, whether it be lounging at the pool, watching them play football, baseball, soccer, or just hanging out and playing "go fish". She very much enjoyed taking day trips to Middlebury and Shipshewana. She liked the Amish culture and observing their way of life. Outdoor fruit and vegetable markets, quilting, trinket and doll shops were some of her favorite things.
She will be dearly missed by her apartment complex neighbors as they would often meet in the common areas and talk about daily "goings on" at the community. Last but certainly not least, she loved her "Diet Coke".
Visitation for Darelene will be held from 4pm-6pm on Monday June 23, 2025, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend. A prayer will take place at 6 pm to end visitation.
