Darlene Wells Jensen passed away, peacefully, surrounded by family on the beautiful, sunny morning of February 19, 2026.
Darlene was born March 3, 1933 to Ezra Lamont and Lillie Annie Wells in
Willard, UT. She was the 2nd born of 5 children, and the 1st born daughter.
She attended Box Elder High School in Brigham City, Utah. She married her forever sweetheart, W. Dell Jensen, in 1952. They were joined together in this life, until his passing in 2017. They are now joined together, for time and all eternity.
Darlene was a loving homemaker and moved to Texas with Dell in 1965, raising 3 children along the way. A devout follower of Christ and a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she spent her entire life loving, blessing and serving others. Serving in many capacities, including with LDS Social Services, Stake Missionary, serving as foster parents to numerous young children (with Dell), and countless callings in the LDS Church. Darlene truly lived the life of the good and faithful servant.
She loved baking and created the wedding cakes for many young brides in the LDS Church. She had an intense passion for genealogy and spent many hours and days in her work there, tracing her family lines back many generations. She loved the scriptures and spent daily time in them. She loved the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and would watch and listen at every opportunity.
Darlene loves her Savior and relished all Creation, finding beauty in most everything, and the blessings in most any circumstances. She was always quick to fearlessly approach a stranger with her smile and radiating love. There are many of these "strangers" who may never forget their interactions with Darlene.
