Darlene Joan McDaniel, age 69, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024 at her home in Columbia with her family by her side. What a way to meet Jesus! Leaving the world surrounded by love and into the arms of eternal love! She was born on April 30, 1955 in Onaway, Michigan to the late Richard Parrott and Alice Luther and is proceeded in death by her devoted husband Donald “Gene” McDaniel and son, Christopher Griffith.
Darlene will be deeply missed by her beloved sons, James (Keren) Griffith and Steven Griffith, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Destanie, Sarah, Dallas and Denver Griffith, Gavin Lovitt, Declan Riley and Zane Gregory. She had the joy of being a great-grandmother to Ivy Jean. She also leaves behind her devoted fur baby, Rusty.
She worked at the James Campbell Kroger for many years and that is where she met her beloved Gene. They were married on November 13, 1998 and remained happily devoted to each other until his passing on November 9, 2021. She found great joy in playing card and board games with her children and grandchildren and her sister Marie. She also enjoyed crafting and watching birds (especially cardinals) from her kitchen window.
