I want to say how much I cherish the legacy of Ms. Darlene, a strong, kind, graceful and beautiful Black woman I was lucky enough to know.
My strongest memory of her was at a peace rally in Trenton back in 1990s doing her thing. Jasmine and I were with her having a great time.
May she rest. Her work is done.
