Darlene Owens Obituary

Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her sister, Claudia; brother-in-law, Ricky; granddaughter, Kindra Dawn; and great-granddaughter, Persephone "Poppy."
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Stanley Ray Owens. Together they built a beautiful life and raised four children: daughter Misty (Alan) Collier, and sons Sonny (Robin), Cody (Kecia), all of Midland, TX, and Stephen (Stella) of Casper, WY.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Arturo (Dakota), Alex Ray (Maddie), Benjamin, Adin, Creed, Mendi Jo, Melani Dawn, Elizabeth (Tanner), Audrie, Nadyca, Adrianna, Sariah Jayne, Natalie, and Madison, as well as her great-granddaughter, Athena Rose.
Darlene dedicated her professional life to serving others as a legal secretary, medical records clerk (or "troll," as she jokingly called it), and a medical transcriptionist, both in hospitals and from home.
More than anything, Darlene was a proud wife, mother, and grandmother. She gave her love freely and fiercely-whether offering advice (solicited or not), staying up until 4 a.m. wrapping Christmas presents, or vacationing with her sweetheart in Las Vegas or Hawaii, she lived each moment with pride and joy.
She had a fondness-some might say obsession-for collecting roosters, enough to furnish a small town. She was an avid Oklahoma Sooners football fan, a tireless shopper (especially with her sister Claudia), and a world-class late-night talker who loved keeping visitors up chatting, often to the quiet annoyance of her husband.
Those who knew Darlene remember her unwavering faith, infectious humor, and enormous heart. She wanted everyone around her to feel seen, supported, and above all, loved. Her warmth, wit, and spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Darlene's celebration of life visitation will be held on July 17, 2025 at Nally-Pickle & Welch funeral home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Her celebration of life service will be held in the chapel at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral home on July 18, 2025 @10:00 am with internment to follow at Serenity Memorial Garden Cemetery.
