Darlene Kay Rupe, age 59, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away August 13, 2025, at Home, Lancaster, Ohio.
Darlene was born July 1, 1966, in Columbus, Ohio to Donald and Beverly Maier. Darlene loved life, whether that be talking, telling stories of various sorts, and being there for her family and friends. She was the glue that held the family together and will be deeply missed by all.
Surviving are her mother, Beverly Maier; children, Charlie Rupe, Johnathan (Eva) Rupe, Kendra Maier, Kaitlynn Maier, Kayliegh Maier, Alen (Keisha) Rupe, Chris (Chasidy Honaker) Rupe, and Mindy Maier; stepchildren, Faye (Michael) Bays, Trena (James) Hamilton, Ray (Pepper) Rupe, and Charles Rupe Jr.; grandchildren, Sophia, Elliana, Chole, Conner, Robert, Chyna, Bryan, and Trisha; great-grandchildren, Robert III, Lillian, Adalynn, Allison, Remi, Aaliyah, and Andrew; brothers, Bo (Jessica) Maier, Donnie Maier, and Kevin (Brenda) Maier; sisters, Chris (Daniel) Johnson, Sherry (Danny) Frye, and Heather (Chris) Price; and numerous extended family and friends.
Darlene was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Charles Rupe Sr. and father, Donald Maier.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, August 18, 2025, at Road to Damascus Church located at 1992 Galloway Road, Galloway, Ohio with Pastor Kevin Ross officiating. All are welcome and encouraged to tell a story or memory of Darlene during the service. Burial will be 45 miles away from the church at Green Summit Cemetery in Adelphi, Ohio.
Calling hours will be observed 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Road to Damascus Church located at 1992 Galloway Road, Galloway, Ohio.
A Celebration of Life following the burial services will be held at Darlene's home from approximately 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (subject to change) located at 3968 Fremar Road NE in Lancaster, Ohio.
Arrangements are by the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio.
