Darlene Hart-Scott, was born January 24, 1969 to Eddie Adams (deceased) and Betty Jewel Johnson-Wallis (deceased). She was the fourth of Six children, Cheryl Lynn Adams (deceased), Eddie Eugene Adams (deceased), Vincent Charles Yates (deceased), Jamie Louise Brown (deceased), and James Weldon Johnson Sr. (deceased). She joined her Loving parents and siblings in Heaven on Thursday September 18, 2025. Darlene Hart accepted Christ at an early age at Tried Stone Baptist Church and Wheatley Heights First Baptist Church with Rev. L.A. Williams. She was currently a faithful member of Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Shaw.

Darlene graduated from Sam Houston High School "Cherokee" in 1977. She then began her career as a cook supervisor at Taco Kitchen. During this time, she gave birth to her daughter Mechelle Louise Adams on July 9, 1981 and her son Shawn Wesley Isles Hart on September 12, 1982. She then furthered her career at Handy Andy for 17 years as the Bakery/Deli manager. She finished her career and retired in 2020 at Downtown Baptist Hospital as a Cook Supervisor. During this time, on November 1, 2015, she married to Ronnie Scott.

Darlene lived her life to the fullest filled with lots of cooking, fishing, singing in the church choir, spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and serving the Lord.

Darlene leaves behind her daughter, Mechelle Louise Adams, Son Shawn Wesley Isles Hart (Shurdia Hart), husband Ronnie Scott, grandchildren AusJuana Telè Adams, Arianna Hart, Shiloh Shawn Hart, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and dear Friends. She will be missed dearly, but her smile, free spirit, integrity, big heart, love for her friends, family, and the Lord will remain in our hearts and memories. She has "Gone up yonder to be with her Lord."
