Deborah Stewart, a cherished daughter, devoted mother, and treasured friend, passed away on September 11, 2025, in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Born on April 9, 1967, to Ruth Douglas and Murphy Woodcox, Deborah was the youngest of six siblings in a home that overflowed with love and laughter. Her early years in San Antonio laid the foundation for a life that would be full of both achievements and profound relationships.

A proud graduate of Oliver Wendell Holmes High School in 1985, Deborah carried the spirit of her youth into adulthood with grace and vitality. The following year, she married James Stewart, in a union that would be blessed with two daughters, Brittney and Briauna. These girls became the center of Deborah's world, bringing immeasurable joy and purpose to her life.

Deborah's professional journey began on January 8, 1989, when she entered the federal civil service, a field in which she would excel for over three decades. Her career took her to Warner Robins, Georgia, in March 2001, where she continued to distinguish herself as a dedicated and valued employee. Alongside her career, Deborah pursued higher education in business management courses at Middle Georgia Community College, a testament to her unwavering commitment to personal growth and professional development.

Throughout her career, Deborah's work ethic, intelligence, and congenial nature earned her numerous accolades and the respect of her colleagues. Her role as a GS-9 Engineering Data Specialist was not just a job but a calling, where she left an indelible mark on all her projects and the people she worked with. Her retirement on August 30, 2024, was celebrated as the culmination of a career marked by dedication and excellence.

Deborah's life was not solely defined by her professional success; she was a beacon of love and support in her personal life as well. Her home was a place of solace and celebration, where family and friends were always welcome. Her laughter was contagious, her advice sound, and her presence comforting. She was the heart of her family, providing unwavering support and unending love.

Left to honor Deborah's memory are her daughters, Brittney and Briauna Stewart, her father Murphy Woodcox, her sister Valerie Turner, her brother Scott Woodcox, and a loving assembly of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. She joins her mother, Ruth Douglas, and other beloved family members who have passed before her.

Deborah Stewart's life was a tapestry woven with threads of love, determination, and grace. Those who knew her will remember her radiant smile, her generosity of spirit, and the profound impact she had on their lives. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will be a guiding light for generations to come.
