Darlene Mae Stensrud (Nee Baldwin) 88 of Fenton, MO, peacefully passed away in her home on March 18, 2025 surrounded by family.
She was born in Albert Lea, MN to Emory and Ruth Baldwin Heartland, MN on October 07, 1936. A loving sister to Marvyl Kopperud (Nee Baldwin) Ellendale, MN and Dale Baldwin Albert, Lea, MN.
After graduating from Freeborn High School, Darlene pursued a career in nursing. She graduated from Naeve Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. Darlene married Richard L. Stensrud Jr. Berger, MO in June of 1958. Together, they had two children: Kathryn J. Schott (Nee Stensrud) Fenton, MO and Daren R. Stensrud Berger, MO. She then dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family.
In her spare time, Darlene enjoyed playing cards, especially 500 and bridge. She was an accomplished seamstress and crocheted, along with being a big fan of baseball.
She was a proud Grandmother to four grandchildren: Thomas Schott Jr. Fenton, MO, Danielle Whelehon (Nee Schott)Chesterfield, MO, Kaitlyn Stensrud San Jose, CA and Kristen Stensrud San Jose, CA. A Great Grandmother to Sawyer Whelehon Chesterfield, MO.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from: 5:00PM- 8:00PM at Bayview Funeral Home in Albert Lea, MN. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
