Darrel R. Williams, 46, of Cedar Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Wynn Hospital.
He was born on September 22, 1979 in New Hartford a son of the late Darrel Williams and Kelly (Chapman) Robinson. Darrel graduated from Mt. Markham Central High School and furthered his education at the University of Albany, earning a bachelor's degree in biology. On August 27, 2011, Darrel was united in marriage to Megan F. McMahon at The Beeches in Rome and shared a blessed union of 14 years. Darrel was employed with Chobani as Vice President of quality and food safety for 14 years and most recently with Cocojune Yogurt in Greene, NY as a consultant.
Darrel was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother, but to his wife Megan, he was the love of her life as far back as middle school. He was an avid golfer and loved to watch sports. Darrel cherished the times he spent with his son, Ohin, traveling to watch sports in person and working on their cars with his son, Dylan. He was also a very accomplished poker player, playing and winning many local tournaments.
Surviving are his wife, Megan; sons, Ohin Williams and Dylan McMahon; mother, Kelly Robinson; brother, Daniel (Fiancee, Tara Diehl) Williams; sister, Rebecca (Jim) Taylor; mother and father-in-law, Ginny (Greg) Barton and several other in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his step-father, Howard Robinson and grandparents and uncles.
Darrel's family wishes to extend their gratitude to the first responders, especially his brother-in-law, Ben Barton for all their care and compassion.
In keeping with Darrel's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 365 W Main St., West Winfield.
