Darrell E Creager

Darrell Creager, 79 of Klein, Texas passed from this life on Monday, February 3, 2025. He was born on May 6, 1945, to Clarence and Annabell Creager in Linton, Indiana. Darrell grew up in Linton where he loved to fish, swim, and explore the coal mine stripper pits of Indiana. Darrell graduated from Linton High School in 1963. He then attended Indiana State University.
Darrell worked for JC Penney for 44 years. He worked across Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas, serving over 35 years as a store manager. Darrell retired from JC Penney in 2005 to spend more time with his passion, his grandkids.
Darrell was a devoted husband to his bride of 61 years, Patricia Creager. Darrell was known by all as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid sports fan, especially any sport involving his kids and grandkids. He loved watching his grandkids play football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and lacrosse. He also loved racing, anything to do with racing, from cars, boats, grass car, and tractor pulls.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Patricia of the home, daughter Darra and husband Chuck Bomhoff of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; son Kevin and wife Kristin of Friendswood, Texas; son Dustin and wife Rebecca of Klein, Texas. His precious grandchildren Hunter Bomhoff, Trevor Bomhoff, Kameron (Debi) Creager, Kayden Creager, Dawson Creager and Addison Creager; brother Ronald Creager of Indianapolis, IN and sister Marsha Brown of Linton, IN and many nieces and nephews.
A family and friends gathering will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:00 am at Champion Forest Baptist-Champions 15555 Stuebner Airline rd. Houston, TX 77069 with Harry Vein officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Patricia Creager's name.
