Darrell Joe Crist, aged 90, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025. Born on October 24, 1934, Joe lived a life that was rich in love and service, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by many.

Having dedicated 35 years of his career to Reynolds & Reynolds, Joe embedded himself into the fabric of the community. After retirement, he embarked on a new adventure by starting his own printing business, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to hard work.

Joe was a devoted family man who treasured the moments spent with his loved ones. His children, Amy Nelson and Roger Crist, along with his grandchildren, Jacob Nelson, Michael Crist, and David Crist, were central to his life. He took immense joy in being a grandfather and was especially proud of his great-grandchildren, Ethan Crist, Ava Crist, Aiden Crist, and Owen Crist.

Aside from his professional accomplishments, Joe had a vibrant personality characterized by his warmth and passion for life. He was an ardent fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, often cheering enthusiastically for his favorite team. He also found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, such as visiting parks and admiring the beauty of trees alongside his beloved wife, Ruth Crist, who predeceased him.

Joe is also survived by his sister, Jacqueline Magill, as well as many other family members and friends who will remember him fondly. His love for his family and friends, coupled with his dedication to his passions, will continue to inspire all who knew him.
