Darrell Harrington Obituary
Darrell LaVerne Harrington, son of Lee Harrington and Deloris Elsberry, was born September 30, 1953 in Boone. He graduated from Rio Grande, New Mexico in 1971. He went to trucking school at Iowa Central Community College and received his CDL. On July 5, 1975, Darrell was united in marriage to Vickie Jo Morgan in Boone. Over the years, he worked several jobs with Tasler Pallet, Ellsworth Turkey Farm, trucking and with the oil rigs in Colorado.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vickie of Webster City; sisters, Dori (Mike) Seagar of Webster City, Dee Love of Boone and several extended family members.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley (James) Seiser and brother, Steve Miller.
He was a past scoutmaster and liked to hunt and fish. He traveled many roads as a trucker and loved his job, especially mountain driving. Darrell and Vickie had the honor to escort the Paul McCartney US Tour in 2005.
